The Peruvian government has extended its State of National Emergency and updated its COVID-19 entry requirements.

Key Points:

  • Peruvian nationals and foreign residents who are 18 or older must have proof that they have received a third “booster” dose of a COVID-19 vaccinated to enter the country. Travelers who are between the ages of 12 and 17 must have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Nonresident foreigners must have proof that they are considered fully vaccinated in their home country to enter Peru.
  • Individuals who do not have proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must have a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours before departure to enter Peru.

Additional Information: Peruvian authorities have extended the country’s State of National Emergency until June 30. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the vaccination and testing requirements; they must not have COVID-related symptoms when traveling to Peru to enter the country.
