IMPACT – MEDIUM
What is the change? Chinese and Indian nationals applying for electronic eNTRI (tourist) visas must submit their online application at least 48 hours before their departure date.
What does the change mean? Affected travelers should not wait until the last minute to apply and should not expect to obtain an eNTRI visa in less than two days.
Background: eNTRI visas allow certain nationals to apply online for tourist visas. Applicants must also provide proof of their round-trip ticket and itinerary. The announcement on the extended processing times only applies to Chinese and Indian nationals.
BAL Analysis: To avoid having to postpone travel dates, affected travelers should apply as early as possible and no later than two days before their scheduled departure date.
