The governments of Brazil and Japan agreed to reciprocally exempt their passport holders from obtaining visitor visas for short-term stays.

Additional Information: Brazil will reinstate visitor visa requirements for nationals of Australia, Canada and the United States on Oct. 1. Brazil had previously included Japan in these measures but removed the country after renegotiating their mutual visa exemption policy.
