Gloria Luan

Gloria is a Senior Associate in BAL’s San Francisco office, managing immigration issues for multinational global internet corporations with tens of thousands of employees. She focuses on securing immigrant visas and green cards for employees in the industry. Her work puts her at the forefront of hybrid working arrangements in a post-pandemic world since many of these employees work remotely, which has ramifications for the green card process. Gloria and her team handle nearly 1,300 active green card cases at any given time. The sheer volume requires her to be creative in streamlining processes and shifting workloads.

Gloria has developed proactive measures to ensure all employees are treated fairly. She created protocols for walking them through the green card process, such as instituting pre-interview briefings, carefully aligning documents and finding creative legal strategies. This approach is especially critical as she onboards new clients and standardizes their process to align with the firm’s harmonized approach. Her protocols have proven so successful that they have been adopted by BAL firmwide.
