“Learning and speaking Spanish led me to travel during and after my college years. It is through language that I began my interest in immigration law, and I’m passionate about introducing small businesses to BAL, showing them how amazing it is to work with our team.”
Ashley Foret Dees is a Partner at BAL, based in the Houston office. Her expertise lies in overseeing the H-2A Agricultural and H-2B temporary visa programs, crucial for businesses of all sizes across the United States. Ashley's commitment is to empower small businesses through H-2 visa programs, facilitating their growth and success. With over a decade of experience, her clients hold her in high regard as a trusted ally and solution-oriented professional. She has represented clients in diverse industries such as agriculture, seafood and hospitality, understanding the essential contributions of temporary or seasonal workers and the unique challenges faced by small business owners. As a member and former H-2 Visa Chair on the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Department of Labor Liaison Committee since 2016, Ashley actively influences immigration policy and regulations. She shares her insights as a speaker at the AILA Annual Conference and Mid-South Chapter, and she has previously contributed to the AILA National Pro Bono Committee. Beyond her successful legal career, Ashley finds joy in Cajun cuisine, both in cooking at home and exploring new restaurants. She loves traveling as much as she values quality time at home with her husband and three sons.
