Gloria is a Senior Associate in BAL’s San Francisco offices, managing immigration issues for multinational global internet corporations with tens of thousands of employees. She focuses on immigrant visas, securing green cards for employees. Her work puts her at the forefront of the trend in hybrid working arrangements in a post-pandemic world since many of these employees are working remotely, which has ramifications for the green card process. Gloria and her team handle nearly 5,000 active green card cases at any given time. The sheer volume requires her to be creative in streamlining processes and shifting workloads. Gloria has developed proactive measures to ensure all employees are treated fairly. She created protocols for walking them through the green card process, such as instituting pre-interview briefings, carefully aligning documents, and finding creative legal strategies. Her protocols have proven so successful, they have been adopted by BAL firm-wide. Gloria is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
