The French government has increased its health control measures for all travelers and added a scarlet-red list to its color-coded countries list.

Green-List Entry Requirements:

  • Fully vaccinated travelers must have proof of vaccination status, a sworn COVID affidavit and a negative PCR or antigen test taken with 48 hours of departure.
    • Fully vaccinated travelers from the EU, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, the Vatican and Switzerland must have a negative test taken within 24 hours of arrival.
  • Travelers who are not fully vaccinated must have proof of recovery between 11 days and six months of intended arrival or a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of departure or an antigen test taken within 24 hours.
  • All travelers arriving from a green list country must complete a sworn statement certifying that they agree to take a PCR or antigen test upon arrival.

Amber-List Entry Requirements:

  • Fully vaccinated travelers must have proof of vaccination status, a sworn COVID affidavit and a negative PCR or antigen test taken with 48 hours of departure.
  • Travelers who are not fully vaccinated must have a negative PCR or antigen test taken with 48 hours of departure, take a PCR or antigen test upon arrival, self-isolate for seven days and take another PCR test at the end of the isolation period.
    • Travelers must additionally submit a sworn statement certifying the absence of COVID-19 symptoms, a sworn statement to taken a PCR or antigen test upon arrival and proof of proper accommodation to undergo self-isolation.
  • Travelers from the U.K. who are not fully vaccinated and 12 years or older must have a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 24 hours of departure.

Red-List Entry Requirements:

  • Fully vaccinated travelers must have proof of vaccination status, a sworn COVID affidavit and a negative PCR or antigen test taken with 48 hours of departure.
  • Travelers who are not fully vaccinated must have a compelling reason to enter the country, have a negative PCR or antigen test taken with 48 hours of departure, take a PCR or antigen test upon arrival and self-isolate for ten days.
    • Travelers must additionally submit a sworn statement certifying the absence of COVID-19 symptoms, a sworn statement to taken a PCR or antigen test upon arrival and proof of proper accommodation to undergo self-isolation.

Scarlet-List Entry Requirements:

  • Travelers, regardless of vaccination status, must have a compelling reason to entry the country, have a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 48 or 24 hours of departure, respectively, take another PCR or antigen test upon arrival and self-isolate for ten days.
    • Travelers must additionally submit a sworn statement certifying the absence of COVID-19 symptoms, a sworn statement to taken a PCR or antigen test upon arrival and proof of proper accommodation to undergo self-isolation.
